Indian MOOCs

The Indian MOOCs initiative SWAYAM which is acronym for 'Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds'. SWAYAM is a Web portal where Massive Open On-line Courses (MOOCs) will be available on all kinds of subjects. The teaching faculties of universities across India are being invited to design and develop courses as MOOCs and launch on SWAYAM platform. I am trying to study the challenges faced by them and the experience they had while running the course on SWAYAM. I am struggling to get data. > The SWAYAM platform has a whole list of all the faculties who run the course. But very few and I mean very few have shared their Email ids. It is so sad that one is in online medium and no contact id is given on the platform. In online world email is a voice and merely a mail. If the address for email is not given then how will the voice reach the teacher, in this case the course coordinators. I am really apprehensive whether any readiness for online courses among teahers or learners was done. .

OER are the open education resources and can revolutionize the way education is being practiced. On one hand copyright and closed educational practices are increasing. On the other hand OER is being promoted by individuals and governments.

E-learning- the future of education

I often hear that the education was simple in old days and internet has changed it dramatically.

Online is the future as it meets the need of the generations ahead.

Teaching is so natural....

 Being a teacher all my life I have fallen in love with it. I like teaching even when the I am not required to. It is one of the best thing to do on earth and the most satisfying too.

learning online

My journey online started when i was assigned the work of looking after wiki portal of DEP-SSA. This motivated me to joined the PGDEL course from  IGNOU and enjoyed learning. So i started my journey . As this was my first encounter of distance mode i took some time to settle and started appreciating the distance mode and its need.
I hope to learn more with every day.....
